The Importance of water!

How much water should you drink per day? We now know that a good rule of thumb is 1/2 your body weight in ounces. So, if you were, say for example, 100 pounds, you should consume approximately 50 ounces of fresh, pure water per day. This doesn't include the water in coffee, tea or other drinks. If you live in an extremely hot or dry climate or when you exercise, add several ounces more. If you aren't consuming this amount of water, build up slowly over the course of a week or two.

One easy way to include more water each day is to slice lemons, limes or oranges in a pitcher of water and let them soak for an hour or so; then drink the pitcher of water throughout the day. The naturally-flavored water will taste refreshing and satisfying; once you begin drinking more and more water, you will get used to drinking the appropriate amount of water each day.

When you drink your water, remember to serve/store it in a glass or stainless steel container versus plastic or aluminum to avoid chemicals or the elements from leaching into your water and eventually your body.

If you drink a big glass of water with lemon each morning, you help rid your body of stored toxin accumulated during your sleep-plus, it keeps the hunger pangs away until you've had time to make a balanced breakfast.
